The history of the house, known today as the Hotel “Kitzinger Hof”, began as early as the 19th century. The main building was built around 1890 as an apartment building with its own wine shop in the vaulted cellar. The ground floor served as a filling hall.
After the wine trading business was closed around 1939, the property was only used as living space.
In 1982 the couple Elisabeth and Fritz opponent bought the property and after extensive renovation and expansion the Hotel Kitzinger Hof was built.
The basement was expanded between 1995 and 1996. Since then, the kitchen and the spacious breakfast area of our guests have been located here.
